"...as part of Sleet’s clever video content...

Sleet’s direction, meanwhile, makes great use of the acting space, so the action flows and feels unforced. Invention and theatrical know-how abound in a production that comes heartily recommended."

"...there are biting moments of humour throughout, and they are worth the wait....

the queens themselves, with their queer politics and behind-the-scenes dramas, traumas, hopes and fears, do not disappoint."

Below are two videos that I created to meet the demands of the script. The first is when 'Annette Jock' is persuaded to tell the story of their open marriage. Behind them, a Drag Race-type confessional appears, indicating they've already spoken about this on the show. It is light and upbeat, revealing none of their insecurities and fears as they lip-sync to it. Soon, they start to fall out of sync, indicating that the message they've been portraying is perhaps not what it seems.

Upon unravelling at the other queens bringing up this glitch, 'Annette' storms out and into the Smoking Area, where they're finally honest about their relationship in a conversation with the Producer. After this scene comes a mid-show advert break, featuring 'Christina Haguilera' – last season's winner and husband to 'Annete Jock'. This was designed to invoke the purposely ridiculous commercials featured in Drag Race.
